Canon DSLR EOS-1D X out in March 2012



As expected, Canon has introduced a professional digital SLR camera EOS-1D X. This new gadget became the flagship in their lineup of digital Canon SLR cameras, opening the tenth generation EOS cameras. According to the manufacturer, the device supports video shooting in Full HD 1080p «meet the needs of almost any professional photographer." 


EOS-1D X model replaces EOS-1D Mark IV and EOS-1Ds Mark III cameras. It is based on full-frame CMOS image sensor with 18.1 MP resolution, equipped with an ultrasonic dust cleaning system. Image processing is done by two new DIGIC 5+ processors. Each of those is an improved version of DIGIC 5, which already can be found in other cameras Canon. 

ISO sensitivity range is limited to values from 100 to 51 200 (upper limit extended - H: 204 800). The camera has a new auto focus system with 61 focus points. They have also developed new preset for autofocus system especially for the shooting complex objects and scenes. EOS-1D X provides continuous shooting at up to 12 frames per second, which can be increased to 14 frames per second, if you shoot only in JPG format. Other features include camera sensor Metering RGB (100 000 pixels) with the DIGIC 4 processor, Clear View II LCD 3.2 " screen (1,040 thousand pixels) and a Gigabit Ethernet port. 


Its body is made of magnesium alloy, protected from dust and moisture. As part of EOS series, this camera is compatible with the respective lenses, flashes and other accessories for EOS cameras. The sales will start next March. Approximate price of new Canon EOS-1D X is $ 6800.
